Children enrolled at Victory Village are children of students,
faculty, and staff of the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill and UNC Hospitals. The population is a diverse group that
reflects the racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity of the Chapel
Hill community.
Our organization offers full time care for children six weeks
to five years of age. Children will be placed in enrollment positions
on a first come, first serve basis. Full time employees have priority
for enrollment. When all vacancies are full, we will maintain
a waiting list by date of application. Parents of children currently
enrolled in the program have sibling priority for enrollment.
The center can accommodate 120 children, ranging from infants
to five years old. The center operates eleven classrooms composed
of:
- three infant rooms, each with a 6:2 child to teacher ratio
- three toddler rooms, each with a 9:3 child to teacher ratio
- two rooms for two to three year olds, each with a 10:2 child
to teacher ratio
- three rooms for three to five year olds, each with a 17:2 child
to teacher ratio
Services are available Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to
6:00 p.m.
The center will be closed on holidays as designated by the board.
